When You Should Rekey Locks
Have you ever moved into a new house, lost your house keys, or maybe you had to fire an employee; you probably have been in a situation where you want to chang your locks; makes good sense. Most people are not aware that instead of changing their locks, there is a much better; and many times cheaper solution – re-keying them.
Re-keying locks is altering the lock mechanism to make it impossible to use the old key. A new key will be necessary. In certain circumstances, re-keying your locks makes more sense than changing your locks. For instance; all of your locks are of the same brand or the same type keyhole but use different keys. You can have your locks re-keyed to operate from the same key.
